NABUGABO Updeal Joint Venture, a garbage collecting firm, has received 40 trucks.

The trucks were got from UK-based By-waters Recycling and Waste Management Company.

The managing director of Nabugabo, Musa Ssenyondo, said the money was given to them in preparation for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) that will take place next year.

“Having got a boost of sh1.5b from the Danish Organisation for International Development and now the trucks, we have the capacity to clean up the city in preparation for the CHOGM,” Ssenyondo said.

During a press briefing at the company’s head offices on Namirembe Road, he said the company had also signed an agreement with B-Global Bus and System’s Consultants to provide training to 120 of its staff.
