GUESTS at the UN Day celebrations were moved to tears as a drama group depicted the suffering of the children in northern Uganda.
The United Troupers drama group was entertaining guests at Lango College on Wednesday on the theme, ‘Stop violence against children’.
The chief guest, foreign affairs minister Sam Kutesa said the children, particularly those in northern Uganda, have had to bear the brunt of the conflict unleashed on the people by the LRA rebels.
“The LRA has pursued a policy of abducting and turning children into fighting machines and subjecting girls to sexual abuse and violence,†he said.
