<b>NEMA fights encroachment</b><br>THE National Environment Authority‘s (NEMA) natural resources specialist on soil and land use, Dr. Festus Bagoora, has said they have launched an exercise to restore wetlands and swamps that have been encroached on in the western Uganda.

New varsity
KABAROLE — A new university will be opened in Fort Portal town next month. Mountains of the Moon University will start with two schools, agricultural sciences and education. Chairman of the University’s board of trustees Seth Manyindo on Friday said courses to be offered would initially include a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture, Bachelor of Education and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education.

Clerk warns
MBARARA — The town clerk has warned parents against taking their children to fake schools. Bashakara was on Sunday presiding over a victory party to honour P.7 pupils who passed in Division One at Mbarara municipal primary school.
