EXPRESS FC yesterday accused Hassan Mubiru of ‘disloyalty and betrayal’ following the striker’s AWOL transfer to neighbours Rwanda on Monday.

Club manager David Kasujja said the player, who cost a record sh20m during his 2001 transfer from SC Villa, had sooner than reward the club, stabbed them in the back. He though insisted that all would not be lost.

“He betrayed us. He kept denying any such transfer. A lot had been invested in him that won’t be lost that way,” said Kasujja.

Sources said the 25-year-old had acquired property worth millions through club boss Godfrey Kirumira as security of his stay. It’s to that fact that the club felt bamboozled.

“We had been cheated before but Mubiru will regret why he moved.”
