KIYOVU coach Jackson Mayanja is back in Kampala to help his Cranes counterpart Mohammed Abbas prepare to face Bafana Bafana next month.

KIYOVU coach Jackson Mayanja is back in Kampala to help his Cranes counterpart Mohammed Abbas prepare to face Bafana Bafana next month.
Mayanja’s brief return to Kampala quashes reports that the youthful tactician could well have given up his position as Cranes assistant coach since leaving URA for Rwanda.
“I am back to discuss with the head coach how the national side will be handled. I have never resigned my position,” Mayanja said in Kampala.
Cranes fell 0-1 to South Africa’s star-studded Bafana Bafana in Kampala in their last World Cup/Nations Cup Group 2 tie in October.

r The Rwanda soccer team, Amavubi, jet out March 19 to Belgium for a one-week training session. As part of the tour, the national team, coached by Swede Roger Palmegren, will take on Belgian first division St Trundins. The games are build-ups to a clash against Algeria.
