HAVE you ever known that dressing like a woman can open the doors for free drinks from men?

Patrons recently beat up a man at a malwa (local liquor) joint in Kitintale for pretending to be a woman so as get free malwa from men.

The man, who had named himself Jane Nakabugo, reportedly dresses in gomesi before going to the joint within the trading centre. His real name was John Segawa. John had been drinking free malwa for the last six months disguising himself using a wig and gomesi

John will live to remember what befell him last Sunday at a malwa joint. His former schoolmate noticed him and called him by his name. Patrons were shocked to hear John being identified by a man’s name.

John’s O.B loudly wondered why his old friend was dressed like a woman. “Gwe (you) John, what are you doing in a gomesi? Are you mad?” he said as he reached out to shake John’s hand.

John was taking advantage of the low price charged for ladies at the malwa joint. Women reportedly part with sh600 instead of sh1,200 paid by men. In addition to the low price some men also buy free malwa for women. John sensed danger and tried to flee, but was quickly cornered by patrons. They quickly undressed him and found he was a man.

The patrons beat him up till the LDUs stepped in to rescue him.
