KABAROLE — Toro Development Agency has trained Fort Portal municipality local council officials to handle court cases. Programme coordinator Andrew Mugisa said the training aimed at promoting human rights awareness. He was addressing LCs at Fort Portal community hall on Saturday.

MBARARA — The High Court on Friday upheld a sentence against a woman who burnt another’s face with acid in Ntungamo. Syson Muganga burnt Prudence Komungyenyi, a teacher at Muntuyera High School in July 2001, accusing her of having an affair with her husband. Muganga is serving a life sentence at Luzira Prison.
