Illing who parted company with his wife for Doris last year, was all over her at the farewell party last week for French Ambassador Jean Bernard Thaint and his wife Arlette.
Scouts say at the party, Illing never let Doris out of his sight and hovered round her like a 13-year-old school boy carrying a bag full of puppy love.
As they prepared to leave the party, Illing grabbed hold of Doris’s hand and escorted her into the back seat of his official mercedes benz.
