Westland Ward in Kitgum town has banned miniskirts in the area.
The LC1 chairperson, Boniface Okot, said in an interview on Tuesday that women who wore mini-skirts, see-through dresses, dresses with slits and trousers were indecent.

Defilement up

ASSAULT and defilement top the crime list in Kitgum district, the Police have said.
The district Police chief, Titus Khauka, on Tuesday said 40 cases of assault and 10 of defilement were reported at Kitgum Police Station in March.
