UGANDAN sprinters will be using the inspiration of hefty cash prizes at the Nairobi ACC permit meet today to better their performance and qualify for forthcoming international Athletics events.

Sprinters Raymond Diogo, Waisswa Lukungu, Stephen Odwar, Justine Bayiga and Sarah Nambawa will be racing against the continent’s best in an event were electronic timers, that IAAF recommends, will be used.

Meanwhile, Boniface Kiprop will take part in Sunday’s Edinburgh 10km road race. The race will be Kiprop’s build up to the August World Athletics Championship.

Meanwhile, IAAF has confirmed that Ugandan long jumper Emmanuelle Oroma will be among the youngsters who will get a lucky fully paid trip to watch the 4th IAAF World Youth Championships in Morocco in July.
