Three Ugandans rated by WBC

THREE of Uganda’s African champions have been rated in the June World Boxing Council (WBC) listings.

THREE of Uganda’s African champions have been rated in the June World Boxing Council (WBC) listings.

Africa Boxing Union (ABU) super welterweight champion Badru “Mr Crush” Lusambya, who was a winner over South Africa’s Tshepo Mashego, is 34th in the super welterweight category.

The newly crowned ABU featherweight champion Jackson “Action” Asiku comes in at the same position in the 126-pound class. He was a round three knock out winner over Zambia’s Saulus Kaunda recently.

Las Vegas bound Abdu “Young Destroyer” Tebazaalwa, the ABU super bantamweight champion is 32nd in the 122-pound division.
Japan based Peter Okello maintained his 25 th position in the heavyweight division.

Former IBF junior middleweight champion Kassim “The Dream” Ouma will be eligible for a rating for July. Ouma lost his IBF crown to Russian Roman Karmazin last Thursday in Las Vegas.
