THREE of Uganda’s African champions have been rated in the June World Boxing Council (WBC) listings.
Africa Boxing Union (ABU) super welterweight champion Badru “Mr Crush†Lusambya, who was a winner over South Africa’s Tshepo Mashego, is 34th in the super welterweight category.
The newly crowned ABU featherweight champion Jackson “Action†Asiku comes in at the same position in the 126-pound class. He was a round three knock out winner over Zambia’s Saulus Kaunda recently.
Las Vegas bound Abdu “Young Destroyer†Tebazaalwa, the ABU super bantamweight champion is 32nd in the 122-pound division.
Japan based Peter Okello maintained his 25 th position in the heavyweight division.
Former IBF junior middleweight champion Kassim “The Dream†Ouma will be eligible for a rating for July. Ouma lost his IBF crown to Russian Roman Karmazin last Thursday in Las Vegas.
