What happened at State House

There is more to Amelia Kyambadde than just being President Yoweri Museveni’s principle private secretary. She is down to earth, witty and full of the joys of life.

There is more to Amelia Kyambadde than just being President Yoweri Museveni’s principle private secretary. She is down to earth, witty and full of the joys of life.
On Sunday, when scribes met Museveni at State House, Kyambadde surprised scouts with some of her revelations.
As Museveni briefly popped out of the room where the meeting was being held, Kyambadde took to the microphone and said: “Before my boss comes back, I would like to say I am honoured to be in a room with all these famous people like Beat FMs Straka Mwezi, Juliana Kanyomozi and Dembe FM newscaster, Hajat Aisha Sematiko.
l Meanwhile, one person who squirmed in his seat was Nsaba Buturo, state minister for information. When veteran UTV newscaster, Bbale Francis, spilled his heart out to Museveni about earning less than sh150,000 per month and working for managers, who don’t know a thing about broadcasting, Buturo wriggled uneasily in his chair every time Museveni glanced at him and he silently ‘cursed’ Francis for landing him in hot soup. To be on the safe side, Buturo shifted his seat as far away from the president just in case…..
l On the other hand, Kfm’s Hard Talk presenter, Simon Kasyate, had a different agenda.
When Museveni shouted out to his aides to bring him a pen, Kasyate lent forward and offered him his Nice House of Plastic pen. Museveni, who was not amused, politely rebuked him saying “I have my own pens!”
l Then question marks were raised about Capital FM reporter, Monday Kintu. Apparently, Kintu was supposed to have forwarded names to State House about a media trip to Singapore. However, many of the scribes, who were supposed to have gone on the trip, did not know about it prompting eye brows to be raised.
