FORMER UTV journalist Wilfred Banabakintu, 41, died on Friday after battling liver and kidney complications. He worked with the National environment Management authority about four years ago after serving at UTV for over a decade. He was buried yesterday in Nakisunga sub-county, Mukono.
RDC eyes seat

Sembabule deputy RDC Charity Kakuhikire has vowed to contest for the Mbarara district Woman MP seat currently occupied by Miria Matembe. Kakuhikire said she had resigned and would contest on the National resistance Movement ticket.

KAMPALA city engineer Abraham Byandaala has resigned to contest for the Katikamu North parliamentary seat. Town Clerk James Sseggane said the post was yet to be advertised.
