Nile Bank customers will soon get improved services following the signing of a $1.5m (sh2.7b) agreement with Neptune International to provide the Equinox universal banking software.

Richard Byarugaba, the bank’s managing director, said the deal was reached after an evaluation that established that Neptune’s product strategy was best suited for Nile Bank’s requirements.

“Equinox’s flexible and resilient architecture and ability to offer integrated workflow and customer relationship management is consistent with our strategic direction and will improve our propositions to clients and remain a customer-oriented institution,” Byarugaba said on Tuesday.

The bank will implement all modules of Equinox like Internet and SMS banking, ATMs and trade finance.
