<b>KCC starts</b><br>KAMPALA — Kampala City Council (KCC) has started hygiene and sanitation competitions in primary schools to fight hygiene-related diseases.

KAMPALA — Kampala City Council (KCC) has started hygiene and sanitation competitions in primary schools to fight hygiene-related diseases. District inspector of schools Nakawa Division Henry Mugerwa said the competition was aimed at equipping children with knowledge on how to create a healthy environment.

Priest gets

KAMPALA — The Rev. Fr. Ivan Kalamuzi will start his priestly ministry with a broad smile after receiving sh1.5m from President Yoweri Museveni. Education and sports minister Namirembe bitamazire delivered the money at Kalanzi’s ordination at Our Lady of Visitation Catholic Church Nabbingo last week.

Govt aids

Mukono — The government has given textbooks worth sh470m to the district council under the Support Universal primary Education Reform project. Some of the textbooks were handed over to primary schools in Nabaale and Kyampisi sub-counties last week. District chairman Godfrey Ddamulira attended.
