BUSIA — District Woman MP Rose Munyira has sailed through as the district women chairperson in the recently-concluded NRM elections. She got 40 votes, beating her opponent Resty Oundo, the district counsellor for Busia town council, who is also the secretary for production, who got 15 votes, at a well-attended function at the Town Council gardens on Saturday.

PAP blames
JINJA — The Progressive Alliance Party (PAP) secretary general Bernard Kibirige has blamed the Government for its ‘economic injustice’ to Busoga region. He said Jinja, which was East Africa’s second biggest industrial town after Nairobi, had been reduced to a town for making chapati and bodaboda cycling due to government’s poor policies.
