THE Government’s Policy Coordinating Committee will resume negotiations with employees of Uganda Railways Corporation (URC) over pension and terminal benefits, privatisation state minister Prof Peter Kasenene has said.
The committee comprises ministers Ezra Suruma (finance), John Nasasira (transport and communication) and Kasenene (right).
The employees were worried over possible failure to get benefits after the Kenya-Uganda railways concession agreement is signed.
The 1,200 employees had failed to reach a consensus with the Government and took the matter to court.
