AFTER successfully completing the basics training section in their one-month training, the All Stars Academy will today launch a youngsters’ league at Kitante Primary School playground at 10.30 am. National coach Leo Adraa, who has been helping with instructions to the youngsters, will be around to oversee the opening matches.

U-19 team on
CRICKET

UNDER-19 cricketers resume residential training today ahead of the ICC World Cup set for Bangladesh, February. Eighteen players returned yesterday after a two-day break. The youngsters residing at the Lugogo hostels are being handled by William Kamanyi.

Ochan stays
PATRICK Ochan will continue training with the national U-19 squad currently preparing for the cricket World Cup in Bangladesh next month. The prodigy was meant to travel to South Africa this Sunday to play in the Africa Junior Tennis championships that start next week. He however requested his Tennis bosses to stay out of the championships to concentrate with cricket.

No MUBS
EFFORTS to form a Makerere University Business School rugby club have been shattered by students at the campus. Players at the University are unwilling to leave their clubs to form an independent University club that would participate in the 2004 national league.
