Students of Kyambogo College were perplexed when their colleague identified as Epelu stole a bottle of cough syrup and drank it.

Students of Kyambogo College were perplexed when their colleague identified as Epelu stole a bottle of cough syrup and drank it. Epelu, a resident of White Hill hostel at Kyambogo College, was suffering from a hangover after a drinking spree at Mama Boy’s malwa joint the previous night. In order to treat his hung-over, he stole a bottle of cough syrup from a friend’s bag and drank it very fast in fear of being nabbed.
He developed a terrible running stomach, and decided to camp next to the latrine for emergency.
Friends discovered the syrup bottle under his bed as they were picking a basin for him to take a bath. He denied drinking the syrup. However, he confessed drinking the whole bottle of syrup, and was rushed off to a nearby clinic for medical care.
