LUWEERO district chairman Hajji Abdul Nadduli (above), has asked the IGG, Jotham Tumwesigye, to reverse his decision to dismiss the chief administrative officer (CAO).

Frederick Kiwanuka reports that Nadduli, in a five-page letter, asked the IGG for audience to give him more information.

It is copied to ministers Tarsis Kabwegyere for local government, Tim Lwanga for ethics and integrity, the resident district commissioner and the two permanent secretaries.

The IGG, in a December 22 report, directed that the CAO, Simon Mpiira, district engineer Nicholas Jjemba, chief auditor Mugubya Bbomu and chief finance officer Asalph Golola be dismissed and prosecuted.

Nadduli said Mpiira was neither involved in the sh28m graft nor was he party to procurement malpractices.
