THE recent Karimojong entry on Tisai island in Soroti district has prompted deployment of Arrow boys.

The Karimojong invaded the island early last week.

The RDC, Charles Mubiru, on Sunday said at his office that the Karimojong had defied orders not to enter Teso with guns.

“I am new here but I have discovered that the security problem in Kumi is not Kony but these Karimojong,” Mubiru said.

He said he had consulted Teso leaders and realised that the residents had rejected the Karimojong plea to graze their cattle in the area.

Mubiru said, they had resolved with Karimojong kraal leaders that they could enter Kumi and graze their cattle but were not to carry guns with them.

“We shall not attack them but will make them aware that we are ready to fight if they became violent,” Mubiru said.
