THE Kampala district post primary Netball competition entered the quarterfinals stage Saturday with four schools automatically qualifying for the level. Luzira Lakeside, Ggaba United, Kibuli SS, and Buziga Mixed sailed through to the quarterfinals with victories over Kalinabiri, New Acce, Equator and Mengo respectively.

League Is On
KAYUNGA FUFA zone 13 league kicks off on March 20 at Kiwangula primary school. Over five teams are slated to compete in the league where two teams will be selected to compete in the Buganda league. Kayunga United will merge with Kasawo to form Kasawo-Kayunga.

Kiiza’s Bout
UGANDAN super featherweight boxer Mike Kiiza has landed a bout against Kenyan David Kiilu in the inaugural East and Central Africa Professional Boxing Federation (E&CAPBF) title fight. The E&CAPBF title fight is slated for April 10 at Nyayo stadium in Nairobi, Kenya. The bout is organised by the newly formed regional federation.

Kanyike Set
FORMER MP Anthony Kanyike has set aside a trophy and various prizes to be competed for during the Easter basketball bonanza at Lugazi basketball courts. SCOUL basketball team — the Devils — who beat Warriors 105-95 in the Women’s Day event, are expected to compete in the one-day tournament.
