DFCU Group is seeking to recruit qualified candidates to fill the following positions.
1. Customer Service Manager (1 Position) CS 04/001
Reporting to The General Manager Bank, the Customer Service Manager will champion the implementation of exceptional Customer Service across the Group. Specifically, He/ She will
- Provide the customer view point (" Outside - Inside view'') to all Group Activities
- Provide "technical'' leadership to all customer service staff
- Develop staff to deal effectively with routine needs of customers by responding promptly in an efficient, professional, and accurate manner to ensure maximum customer satisfaction
- Supervise and build a strong and motivated customer service team
- Provide leadership in all aspects of customer service with the objective of providing a quality service to customers.
- Create systems to enable the obtaining and compilation of Customer feedback and ensure that appropriate action is taken thereon.
THE REQUIREMENTS
- Preferred candidate would have an MBA with a thorough understanding of the Financial Services industry.
- 5 years relevant experience of which two years must be either in a service industry such as Airline, 5 star hotel, or in a FMCG company

2.Management Accountant (1 Position) FD 04/001
Reporting to the Group Head of Finance, the Management Accountant will be responsible for maintaining and developing the company's management information and funding pricing to aid in decision making. She/ he will carry out the following:
- Collate and prepare the information required for the budget (and rolling forecasts) in line with corporate objectives and for management decision-making.
- Administration of credit lines:
* Maintain database with a summary of all lines of credit
* Ensure compliance to Loan covenants
* Maintain a database of the Portfolio disbursements matched to funding sources
- Provide timely, accurate and up-to-date funding costs and overall cost of capital information so that pricing can be maintained at levels which ensure company profitability
- Perform cash management activities including analyzing and evaluating cash flow.
- Preparation of regular and timely ALCO (Maturity Analysis, Currency analysis, Interest
Risk Analysis, etc) and market reports for management decision making
- Special reporting - ad hoc reports as required
Skills required:
- First degree preferably with numerate background (Accounting, Finance, Statistics or
Economics)
- Full accountancy professional qualification
- Specialised knowledge in accounting for financial institutions
- Sound knowledge in costing, forecasting and budgetary planning
- Computer literacy with proficiency in spreadsheets and accounting software.
- Good communication and analytical skills.
- At least 3yrs experience working in a busy commercial environment

3.Internal Auditor (I Position) IA 04/001
Reporting to the Chief Internal Auditor, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Drawing up audit plans and audit programs for the assigned individual audit activities
- Interpreting bank policy and operating procedures and apply accounting and auditing
principles and standards to test and evaluate financial records and operating systems.
- Identify and evaluate significant exposures to risk and communicate the results to the Chief Internal Auditor.
- Participate in the execution of audit assignments either as a team leader or team member
and prepare draft reports of audit results, including review of audit work papers prepared
by the internal auditor(s).
- Review accuracy of BOU returns.
- Assist the Bank in maintaining effective controls by making recommendations needed to promote continuous improvement.
- Carry out investigations as assigned by the Chief Internal Auditor or Senior Management.

THE REQUIREMENTS
- The ideal candidate shall have a degree with a numerate background from a recognised university
- A professional qualification in accounting or Auditing(CPA, ACCA, CA)
- Clear understanding of bank risks plus at least two years of Bank audit experience.
- Experience in managing an audit project as team leader.
- Good knowledge of IT risks will be an added advantage.
- Good understanding of International Auditing Standards, and code of professional
conduct is a MUST.

4.Human Resources Development Manager (1 Position) HR 04/001
Reporting to the Group Head of Human Resources, the position will require you to identify and develop talent within DFCU Group as a strategic objective for the organization.
Specifically, you will be responsible for;
- Development of hiring standards and behavioral interviews for the Group.
- Ensure the identification, recruitment of key talent for DFCU.
- Ensure that this talent is effectively developed.
- Capability assessment.
- Implement Performance management systems across the group.
- Generate & Implement the DFCU strategy on talent management within the Group with
the primary focus of development of High potential staff.
- Develop graduate recruitment programs.
- Liaise with and manage all the recruitment agency contracts.
- Integrate the Group's resourcing requirements with short-term business demands.
- Human Resource planning including career pathing and succession planning
- Team assessments and development
- Organizational learning and development of Training and Development programmes.

THE REQUIREMENTS
- HR Professional background (3-5) years.
- Capable of representing HR at Senior levels
- Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills required
- Ability to self-start.
- Prior experience in some of key areas of talent management, manpower planning, attraction strategies
- Demonstrable record in effective coaching and performance management.
- An MBA would be an added advantage

5.Human Resources Administration Manager (1 Position) HR 04/002
Reporting to the Group Head of Human Resources, the position will be expected to deliver better, faster and cost effective HR transaction services.
- Determine key HR factors that need to be shared by all.
- Set standards for service delivery by HR to Business units.
- Partner with external vendors to establish transaction work.
- Responsible for tracking cost of HR operations (HR Budget)
- Payroll management & administration, ensuring that all statutory requirements are obliged with.
- Employee relations and grievance handling.
- Communicating policies and practices to all employees.
- Ensure consistent and fair application of policies.
- Define terms and condition of service.
- Provide efficient HR data collection process and use of information for decision-making
by line management.
- Responsible for employee portals so that they can easily access data (intranet)
- Provide timely information to employees by way of newsletters, speeches etc

THE REQUIREMENTS
- HR Professional background (3-5) years.
- Capable of representing HR at Senior levels
- Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills required
- Ability to self-start.
- Prior experience in some of key HR areas such as employee relations, and HR administration
- Experience in the use of HRIS preferably an ORACLE based system.

6.Branch Manager - Arua Branch (1 Position) OR 04/001
Reporting to the Retail Services Manager, the successful applicant will have primary responsibility to head our Arua branch.
The position will require you to:
- To spearhead a customer focused sales and services culture in the branch.
- Implement and support sales & marketing campaigns in the branch to achieve agreed
targets for liabilities, assets, costs and revenue of the branch.
- Create a professional, proactive, performance driven and result oriented team in the branch.
- Ensure that all cash and suspense accounts are checked, balanced daily and any abnormality reported accordingly.
- To guide staff in their personal and career development and provide day to day staff
leadership.

Skills required:
-A university degree with at least 5 years banking experience out of which 2 must have been in sales or Customer service at a Management level.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and ability to analyze and interpret financial reports
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of banking operations
- Good leadership, management and business development skills
- Ability to sell effectively
- Proactive approach to work with a high level of maturity and self-drive

7.Branch Operations Manager – Lira Branch (1 Position) OR 04/002
Reporting to the Branch Manager - Lira, the successful applicant will have primary responsibility to managing the general Operations of the Branch.
The position will require you to:
- Managing smooth work/process flows within the Branch's Front and Back offices.
- Safe custody of the Branch's liquid and other Bank tangible assets.
- Staff welfare, motivation, and capacity building.
- Facilitation of result oriented teamwork.
- Ensure effective and efficient branch operations and deliverables
- Ensure effective internal controls including Sign up to approved limits.
- Ensure strict conformity with the procedures practiced in the Bank.
- Do routine supervision and monitoring of all suspense accounts under operations.
- Ensure cash risk management by monitoring cash holdings against insurance limits.
- Ensure proper guidance, leadership and a pattern of responsibility and staff accountability.

THE REQUIREMENTS
- A University Degree with at least 5 years banking experience 2 of which must be at supervisory level.
- Good understanding of accounting principles.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of banking operations.
- Good analytical and communication skills.
- Good people management skills.
- Good Leadership, management and business development skills.
