PPU now scan horses!

Not only is this a good one, it will probably land me into trouble as well! President Museveni's Presidential Protection Unit (PPU) never cease to amaze! While they may be quite rightly doing their job of protecting the president, they at times go a trifle too far. Your columnist has recently learnt on one of President Museveni's visits to Speke Resort Munyonyo, security laid down the law decreeing that everybody has to be scanned for security reasons. Well nothing wrong with that. Problem arose when the horses that had gone for their morning exercise came trotting back to their stables. At a checkpoint, a guard halted them, then tried to scan the belly of one of the horses, a move which did not go down well with the horse. It snapped and kicked out at the guard who reportedly took to his heels. Since the incident, the horses have been exempted from facing the scanner.
