Gouda Gold Cheese factory, a newly launched firm has the capacity to produce a tonne of cheese every day.

While opening the factory in Luzira on Friday, trade and tourism state minister Jovino Akaki said, “Uganda is a country which welcomes investment in all sectors. I am pleased to see that Gouda Gold is manufacturing its cheese from here. Hopefully, this will encourage Ugandans to consume more cheese.”

The firm’s director, Tom Opio, said the factory not only had state of the art equipment but was also committed to providing quality cheese under the most hygienic conditions.
