A TEAM of 13 donors led by the swiss ambassador, Pierre Combernous, recently visited Kitgum district to assess the humanitarian situation there.

A TEAM of 13 donors led by the swiss ambassador, Pierre Combernous, recently visited Kitgum district to assess the humanitarian situation there.
The donors were invited by the district UN office for coordination of humanitarian affairs.
The donors were received by the LC5 chairman, Nahaman Ojwee, who reported that 3/4 of the population of Kitgum are living in the IDPs camps due to the insurgency.
Ojwee appealed for more humanitarian agencies to come to Kitgum to supplement the efforts of the NGOs and community-based organisation already there.
