EASTERN Uganda might have only one side in next year’s top flight soccer league — the team that will qualify from the zonal mini league — after all their three representatives have more or less been relegated from the Top Radio Super League.

Norman Katende writes that Mbale Heroes and Bugiri Old Timers have already been relegated while Iganga is clinging on but with minimal chances of survival.

The club is still waiting for a boardroom decision to decide on whether they will replay or lose the Masaka encounter, which they failed to honour due to alleged mechanical breakdown. They will also be praying that Ggaba United loses its remaining two encounters in order to stay at 36.

The maximum points that Iganga can get are 37, and this can help them escape from the doomed bottom six.
