Uganda Clays Limited (UCL) has cautioned clients against buying clay products from middlemen because they mix UCL products with other materials.

Uganda Clays Limited (UCL) has cautioned clients against buying clay products from middlemen because they mix UCL products with other materials.

“Clients should be careful with half bricks, roofing tiles, ridges and maxi pan blocks for suspended roofs. Middlemen sell second-hand products. They (clients) should buy directly from us,” Charles Rubaijaniza, UCL’s company secretary said in an interview recently.

Rubaijaniza said orders take more than a month to mature, but they are installing a third sh3b kiln to increase production by 60%.
