AN application seeking to block Archbishop Henry Orombi from enthroning Masindi-Kitara’s disputed bishop, Stanley Ntagari, is due for hearing on November 16.
Masindi LC5 chairman John Majara and Speaker Jacob Karuhanga accused Orombi of imposing Ntagari on the diocese.
Justice Yorokamu Bamwine will hear the pre-trial application.

Healer in High Court

A traditional healer accused of killing two patients by covering them in a hole, has been committed to the High Court on charges of murder.
Mubende Court committed Abdullah Maisaba, 40, of Bukuya in Mubende district over the murder of Margaret Kakwezi and Faith Kyulingana.
Another person only identified as Munyangabo survived suffocating in the hole, which was covered with firewood and grass before being set alight.

Six LRA rebels killed
THE army killed six LRA rebels in Gulu district on Tuesday.
The army spokesman in the north, Lt. Paddy Ankunda, said they killed four rebels and rescued one captive in Anaka sub-county, Nwoya county.
Two other rebels were shot dead at Paibona in Awach sub-county. One rebel surrendered with a gun to the UPDF detachment at Choo-pee in Aswa county.

Sodomite gets 5 years
NAKAWA Court yesterday sentenced a houseboy to five years in prison for sodomising a three-year old baby. Chief magistrate Margaret Mafabi convicted Moses Kibuuka, 18, of Kyaliwajjala in Wakiso district, after he pleaded guilty.
