A parliamentary select committee to probe a joint-venture housing project between National Social Security Fund (NSSF) and Mugoya construction Company, kicks off tomorrow.

A parliamentary select committee to probe a joint-venture housing project between National Social Security Fund (NSSF) and Mugoya construction Company, kicks off tomorrow.

Parliament senior public relations officer Kagole Kivumbi said yesterday that the speaker of parliament, Edward Ssekandi, would give the committee chaired by Simon D’Ujang (Okoro) the terms of reference.

Parliament recently passed a resolution to set up a select a committee to investigate the saga and other NSSF schemes. The committee is to report back to parliament within 45 days.

Samia Bugwe North MP Aggrey Awori moved the motion to investigate the $225m venture in which NSSF was likely to lose billions of shillings.
