THE destiny of Uganda’s CECAFA title defence-campaign will much depend on whether the team’s wide midfielders David Kalungi and Vicent Kayizi feel at home in Ethiopia.

The pair is flying high at the team’s camp in Namboole that Cranes’ tactician Mohammad Abbas insisted the two could well define the outcome of the campaign and the youthful team’s fate in group B en route to the final.

“The two are incredible. They can’t have reached their best level yet. They can improve and should help us do better in Ethiopia,” Abbas said.

Kalungi and Kayizzi are such clever movers behind the strike-force that defenders never know whether to hold their positions or follow them.

“The two sometimes drop deep, sometimes as central midfielders and at times as wingers.

Communication between them with the support of Joseph Mutyaba is the most important thing and in ensuring that the defenders and attack is not too much.

Abbas will not name his final 17 man squad before Monday next week but certainly out is injured Hakim Magumba.
