THE Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) will elect its leaders next month. This is part of the newly-registered party’s roadmap to the 2006 general elections.
“You know our (registration) certificate was issued on the eve of Christmas. We want to introduce the entire (leadership) team in the early weeks of January,” said FDC working committee chairman Reagan Okumu.
He said they would soon launch the party in Kampala and officially open their office.
“We are also set to launch the economic and political policy programmes, the ideological foundation of the party,” Okumu said.
He said FDC would launch its campaign website before moving up-country to open district offices and inaugurate executive committees there.
Former army commander Maj. Gen. Mugisha Muntu, former presidential candidate Col. Dr Kizza Besigye, former deputy premier Eriya Kategaya and former ISO chief David Pulkol are favoured for party presidency.
