Bata can do even better

SIR—Bata is doing a great job. The quality of their shoes and bulk of stock are quite impressive today. There was a time when Bata shops looked a shadow of their old selves. This is indeed commendable. Having reached that standard, I request Bata management to do something about their packaging. Bata should have Bata bags, not black polythlene bags which are too small for some items like boots. If Bata can sell such nice shoes, I believe they can also have proper bags commensurate with their new public image.Joyce KahinjuKampala
