By Godfrey Kagoda Parliament is in the process of drafting a law that will require contractors to include special facilities in national buildings for people with disabilities. This was revealed by the state minister for the elderly and disabilities, Florence Naiga, at Jinja Gaddafi garrison on Saturday. She was addressing leaders of people with disabilities where she handed over white walking sticks to blind people. Naiga said the law will ensure that buildings that are put up in urban centres have special facilities to ease the movements of disbaled persons. She assured them of the government’s commitment to improve their welfare through special credit schemes and facilitating training in various fields to supplement their sources of income.
