By Mike Kidon-OnyangTHE High court has opened a session in Moroto to hear 24 criminal cases. It will be presided over by Justice Lameck Mukasa.Briefing civil and political leaders at the Magistrate’s Court in Moroto on March 18, Mukasa, who said he was in the area for the first time, apologised for the delay of High Court sessions. He attributed the delay to low criminal cases reported and recorded in Karamoja. He said the last High court session in the region was conducted in 1998.“You will note that from 1994 to 2000 six criminal cases here were committed to High court, whereas criminal cases warrant the High Court session to be conducted,” Mukasa told local leaders and court officials.Ends
