Bagisu set to begin circumcision season

THE Bugisu cultural board is making final arrangements for the official opening of Imbalu (circumcision) season, which is due on August 6 at Mutoto Cultural village in Mbale district.

Over 200 tourists from Britain, China and Korea will be among an estimated 300,000 people at the function.Kawuka said the ambassadors of France, Britain and Korea in Uganda, including the Chairman of Bungoma Cultural Board in Kenya would be among the dignitaries at the function which only takes place during even years .This years theme is “Circumcision for unity and development of the Bagisu community.
