UGANDA Commercial Bank Limited (UCBL) continued to sink after suffering their second defeat in three league matches.
UCBL, led by veteran player Joachim Okoth, lost away against Mulago in Sunday’s action.
The runners up behind champions Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) last year, had been beaten by a rejuvenated Kingslayers last week after drawing against Mengo.
UCBL started the season as top title favourities along with URA.
The defeat puts URA, who have won all their five matches, firmly on course for a hat-trick of league titles. URA went a step further with an easy victory over Luzira.
UCBL’s battle with Mulago started with defeat for Okoth against Neils Lauritsen before George Senyomo was beaten by Kawuma Mutumba.
Peter Maguzi brought back hope for UCBL by beating Joseph Kizza.
UCBL needed to take the next game to force a draw but John Kikonyogo drew with Andrew Galiwango.
The win was the fourth for Mulago who have lost three matches.
