SECURITY on roads in Gulu, Kitgum and Pader districts will be tighten by heavy UPDF deployment to allow the UN World Food Programme (WFP) relief food trucks take food to the displaced people, security sources said Friday.
The army is reinforcing and security along the roads in northern region will greatly be improved to allow free movement of all vehicles including UN WFP trucks to deliver relief food to the displaced people in Acholi.
The UPDF 4th Division public relations officer, Lt. Paddy Ankunda, told The New Vision on Friday that the UPDF was willing to give military escorts to the WFP trucks to enable the organisation take food to the displaced people in Pader and Kitgum districts. Ends
