Hundred’s flocked the 10th International Trade Fair taking place at Lugogo in Kampala yesterday.

The fair, opened by the prime minister Prof. Apollo Nsibambi, has registered a record 520 exhibitors.

Nsibambi who toured over three-quarters of the exhibitor’s stalls was visibly impressed with the wide ranged products on display.

The visiting Kenyan deputy minister of trade Mohamed Abdi, who was also on tour of the fair, described it as the most organised trade fair he has ever seen.

UMA executive director, Hilary Obonyo said, “You can see for your self this is so far the best fair with a record number over 520 exhibitors we have organised. I can’t add more,” he said.

Crowds swarmed in by the minute, and exhibitors were busy making quick sales.

“We are impressed with what we are seeing. There are many exhibitors this year and the show has really turned international” an exhibitor, representing coffee packing machines remarked.

Trade and industry minister Prof. Edward Rugumayo, who commended UMA for spear heading economic development in the country, also accompanied the prime minister.
