Justice Julia Ssebutinde, blasting Uganda Revenue Authority officials for failure to recover sh2.5b in taxes from business tycoon Karim Hirji.
"I do not want to be involved in those funny deals I have been hearing. Mine was a clean deal. As a lawyer, I ensur-ed that the property was free from controversy before I paid for it," Amanya Mushega, the secretary general of the East African Community, commenting about the sh210m house he purchased from Karim Hirji that originally belonged to the former tax agency boss, Elly Rwakakoko.
