THEY keep propping up every now and then. Now, in the league of Napoleon and Lemmy Cool is another hot-blooded firebrand dancehall youngster by the name of Fireman Kakokolo. More recognisable by name than works yet, the 23-year-old whose real name is George Kibirango Nsemere is on the brink of national recognition. His newly released single Bwana Bwenkoko just hit the airwaves. The song has already featured on Radio Simba’s popular Ekigunda Kya Bond 7 presented by omulangira Ndawus. The programme showcases some of the best up and coming local artists. Bwana Bwenkoko was written by Fireman himself and produced by Robert Segawa, whose claim to fame includes production for acclaimed Kadongo Kamu superstar Lord Fred Sebatta. It features Joanita, a struggling vocalist, on the hooks and Fireman’s guttural rapping. It takes the format of Bobi Wine’s Kagoma— light instrumentation and a drum beat bassline. Ends
