By Phillip CorryGREEN flies have attacked KCC’s Lugogo training ground ahead of the new soccer season.KCC’s coaching woes are back to destabilise the ever problematic club. This comes in the wake of the just concluded VEK cup where they failed to retain their title against Express football club.A certain section of fans and club officials are distressed with David Otti’s performance in the VEK cup and want him out. The clique of fans have already started gunning for “family boy” Sam Ssimbwa. The New Vision failed to contact Ssimbwa whose cellophone was off.KCC spokesman Fred Ogene was not moved by the new developments at Lugogo. “KCC has no official position on poor performances,” he said. “People expected us to win the VEK cup, but remember we have lost several key players and Otti is trying to rebuild a new side.”KCC has a tradition of appointing ex-players who they call the “family boys” as coaches.“I am aware of this clique of fans who want Otti out, but they are using the wrong fora,” Ogene added. “I won’t like to go with that clique.”Since the pre-season started for the Kampala giant side, they have lost to Express four times one in the Idd Cup 1-0, Ssekabaka Cup 3-1 and twice in the VEK cup 2-1 and 2-0. “I have talked to Otti and I think he has the right to his views. He is a good coach and we should give him time. We should not be driven by our emotions,” Ogene stressed.“We also need an assistant for Otti, but that still needs to be discussed extensively with the KCC executive,” he added.ends
