Rain Storm Blows Off Lira School Roof

By Patrick Oyee in Lira ADWOKI Primary School in Agwata sub-county, Dokolo, has been closed following a heavy storm that deroofed the school buildings on March 20.The headmaster, Joseph Amalu, said 30 pupils and a teacher were hurt in the incident.He said at around 3:30p.m. while pupils were in class, a heavy downpour blew off the roof of the school.He said the victims were hurt in the melee as they scrambled to safety.He said the victims were rushed to Agwata health unit, where they received treatment.Amalu said he asked the District Education Officer to temporarily close the school.Ends
