Third power project starts soon

CONSTRUCTION of the third hydro electricity power station begins soon at Nyagak, West Nile, state minister for minerals Kamanda Bataringaya has said.Charles Odongtho reports that Bataringaya made the revelation on Friday at a joint Makerere University graduation party for Nebbi community in Kampala where he was the chief guest. He said, “The World Bank is giving $100m for northern Uganda.”Public service state minister Okumu Ringa said, “I am ashamed to say Nebbi tax collection is less than sh300m. But the Government gives us sh18b every year. We have to thank the Movement government for the last 15 years of positive transformation.”
