LADY Justice Anna Magezi has commissioned 16 residents of Kigumba and Kiryandongo sub-counties in Masindi to community service for breaking the law.

By Kyetume KasangaLADY Justice Anna Magezi has commissioned 16 residents of Kigumba and Kiryandongo sub-counties in Masindi to community service for breaking the law.Justice Magezi, the chairperson of the National Community Service, handed over the orders at Kigumba sub-county headquarters on Tuesday.“Community Service requires your consent and the community has to accept you, but it is not good for you to be imprisoned,” Magezi told the offenders.She was commissioning the programme in the lower courts in the district. At least 70 local leaders, headteachers, security officials and the civic population witnessed the ceremony.Earlier, Magezi who is also the Jinja resident judge, paid a courtesy call on the district chairman, John Majara, and the Chief Administrative Officer, Mrs. Margaret Gimogoi.She toured community service projects at Bigando, and Kahaara primary schools, and Kijenga health centre in Miirya sub-county.She was accompanied by several district officials.Ends
