UBL Driver Held Over Missing Sh6.8m

By Moses Nampala in IgangaA truck driver and a tout working with Uganda Breweries depot in Iganga have been arrested in connection with loss of sh6.8m belonging to the company.Ali Kalogo and George Ejalu who had gone in hiding after the alleged theft early this week, were arrested by police from Mayuge and Tororo respectively.The OC/CID, Moses Mpanuka said the money was proceeds from sales of beer that the depot authority had given the suspects to market around the district, on cash basis.Iganga UBL depot manager Sam Obua Egwang told the New Vision on Friday that the money went missing on Monday.Ends
