Andrew Mwenda gets mad at reporters

Andrew Mwenda (pictured left) is not a man to mince his words. This time, he will not stop shouting until the journalists who wrote a story suggesting that Maj.Muhanga Kayanja is linked to city robbers are sacked. Maj. Muhanga is Mwenda's brother. Over the weekend the reporters fled the newsroom when Mwenda came in charging, and have not reappeared in The Monitor newsroom since. Mwenda is angry about how such a story could be published without his knowledge, apparently in his capacity as the head of The Monitor investigation desk he should have been in the know. Mwenda insists that The Monitor published a lie, and on Monday interrupted work in The Monitor newsroom banging tables and screaming that heads should roll. Blood is indeed thicker than water.
