By Douglas MazuneNATIONAL rally championship contender Moses Lumala wants nothing short of a win in the dfcu rally this weekend.Lumala must however beat Charlie Lubega, whose Mitsubishi Evo4 has a new engine.Lumala (Toyota Celica ST185) second in the championship with 249 points—89 behind leader Lubega said he would go flat-out in the seventh NRC event.“Charlie is a fast man but I will still fight for victory because second position is not good enough for me,” Lumala said.“The car is okay and I am set. I pray that by the end of the first section my new co-driver will have got used to my pace,” he added.Lumala will be navigated by Cedric Buzabo, who is sitting in for injured Moses Matovu.Lubega said he will be cautious. “I will take it easy because I have the TOTAL Pearl rally in about two weeks. I won’t risk, if I make a mistake I might miss my sponsor’s event,” Lubega said.Giovanni ‘Italiano’ Storchi (Lancia Intergrale) and William Blick in a Mitsubishi Evo3 will pursue the front runners.The dfcu Bank event will start with a super special stage at Garuga today.
