UGANDA Commercial Bank Limited (UCBL) will face the biggest challenge to their chess league title campaign on Sunday, a week after dropping a point.
UCBL take on Kingslayers in the highlight of the five-match fixture in Kampala.
The UCBL side that came from behind to force a 2-2 draw against Mengo last Sunday, can not afford to slip up again.
UCBL, runners up behind champions Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) last year, will again look to experienced players —Joachim Okoth and Julius Lule — in search of victory.
A win will help UCBL keep their place behind URA who have won all their five games.
But UCBL is up against a side that wants to go a step better after finishing third overall last year.
Vianney Luggya, involved in Kingslayers’ past campaigns, will again lead the team.
Kingslayers beat Uganda Industrial Research Institute (UIRI) 4-0 for their biggest win so far.
UIRI return to action against URA in a match of contrasting positions.
UIRI will be looking for their first win while URA, the only team, yet to lose a point, want a sixth straight win.
