UGANDA’S best athletes are in the final leg of a three week Arua Athletics Club organised training camp at Uganda Polytechnic Kyambogo.
Mark Namanya writes that 25 track stars, including Dorcus Inzikuru have been at the residential training which closes Saturday.
Runners from clubs such as Bombo, UPDF, and Kamuli district are also taking part.
The camp is running under the guidance of middle and long distance national coach Gordon Ahimbisibwe and quarter mile instructor Absolom Ojwang.
Former sprint king Francis Ogola and his brother, Julius Acon visited the camp, albeit for only three days, due to an invitation in Europe. The course has Rwenzori Beverages, Draco drilling company, the gender ministry as sponsors.
Inzikuru’s credentials from her worldwide adventures are held as a successful dawn for colleagues to learn from.
